Our free and fast tool will convert most 3D mesh or GLB (Graphics Language Transmission Format) model files to a standard WRL (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) file that can then be edited further in most popular 3D editing packages such as Blender or 3D printed without any further processing.
To convert your GLB file click the Upload button above and select the file to convert. Once selected, the file will be converted to a WRL file and will ready for download shortly afterwards. For more information about the GLB to WRL conversion process see the conversion information section below for more information.
Here are 2 simple steps to convert your GLB to WRL.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your GLB file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the GLB to WRL conversion has completed, you can download your WRL file straight away.
We aim to process all GLB to WRL conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.
We aim to create the most accurate conversions with our tools. Our tools are under constant development with new features and improvements being added every week.
Yes, of course! We do not store the GLB file you submit to us. The resulting WRL file, once created is deleted 1 hour after upload and the download link will expire after this time.
Yes! Our GLB to WRL tool will run on any system with a modern web browser. No specialist software is needed to run any of our conversion tools.
Yes. Although you can use an Ad Blocker, if you like our GLB conversion tool please consider white-listing our site. When an Ad Blocker is enabled there are some conversion limits on some of our tools and processing/conversion times will be longer.
The GLB file format which can also have the GLTF file extension depending on whether the content is binary or text/Json is a 3D file format used to describe 3D worlds and as such contains geometric data such as vertices, faces, normals, animations and other 3D scene related data.
The format, described by its creators as the "JPEG of 3D", has gained in popularity and is supported by a wide range of 3D modelling applications such as Blender and MeshLab. The GLB format is an open standard which is maintained by the Khronos Group.
If your GLB file contains textures, these will be ignored. If a material contains color information this will be translated where possible.
|Full Name||Virtual Reality Modeling Language|

The WRL file format is a 3D based model format originally created in the 1990's which was aimed at website usage. The format is text based and contains 3D geometry data such as vertices, faces, simple shapes and material information and more.
This format when launched was hoped to become a standard 3D format, however due to the large file sizes it didn't see wide spread adoption although it is a supported format within some CAD software applications. It was later superseded by the X3D file format which shares most of the functionality of WRL files.
WRL files support material and color information. If your uploaded model contains color information our tool will attempt to save this in the WRL file at the end of the conversion process. Texture information is not supported at this time.
