GLB File Conversion Updates

We have made many updates to our GLB file converters to make the process of converting GLB files to other 3D formats as simple as possible with the highest levels of accuracy.
Our updated converters can not only export textures found within your GLB files, but they can also handle many of the well-known extensions supported by the format. Extensions such as Draco Compression, MeshOpt Compression, Mesh Quantization and many other material extensions are supported by our GLB file converters and GLB file viewer.

Support for Textures
If your GLB file contains textures, then converting those over to other formats such as OBJ and BLEND is no problem. Our converter will convert texture formats if needed too, so if your GLB model contains lesser-known formats such as QOI then our converter will convert that to a format appropriate for the target 3D format, such as PNG.
Support for Material Information
When reading a GLB file, we try to support most material properties such as Metallic, Roughness, Specular, as well as the various types of textures. When converting material information from a GLB file to another 3D model format, we attempt to map all properties and textures accurately. GLTF Support
While we have been talking specifically about GLB files (the binary version of the GLTF format), all of the above-mentioned changes also work with GLTF files. Bear in mind that GLTF files are often accompanied by additional data and texture files that will need to be submitted along with your GLTF file in order for us to convert your file correctly. If you submit a GLTF file with the necessary supporting files, our tool will notify you of the files that are missing.
