Our free and fast tool will convert most 3D mesh or BLEND (Blender) model files to a standard X3D (Extensible 3D Graphics) file that can then be edited further in most popular 3D editing packages such as Blender or 3D printed without any further processing.
To convert your BLEND file click the Upload button above and select the file to convert. Once selected, the file will be converted to a X3D file and will ready for download shortly afterwards. For more information about the BLEND to X3D conversion process see the conversion information section below for more information.
Here are 2 simple steps to convert your BLEND to X3D.
We currently support all Blender files compatible with version 3.2. We monitor and update our tool as newer versions become available.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your BLEND file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the BLEND to X3D conversion has completed, you can download your X3D file straight away.
We aim to process all BLEND to X3D conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.
We aim to create the most accurate conversions with our tools. Our tools are under constant development with new features and improvements being added every week.
Yes, of course! We do not store the BLEND file you submit to us. The resulting X3D file, once created is deleted 15 minutes after upload and the download link will expire after this time.
Yes! Our BLEND to X3D tool will run on any system with a modern web browser. No specialist software is needed to run any of our conversion tools.
Yes. Although you can use an Ad Blocker, if you like our BLEND conversion tool please consider white-listing our site. When an Ad Blocker is enabled there are some conversion limits on some of our tools and processing/conversion times will be longer.

The BLEND file type is the native 3D graphics file format of the 3D modelling application Blender. Originally released in 1994 Blender has grown over the years and is one of the most popular 3D applications available.
BLEND files store 3D content such as 3D geometry, vertices, faces, normals, animations, materials and much more. Blender is free and open-source and contains many features you would expect in a high-end 3D editing application and is available for most current operating systems.
When converting from BLEND files our tool will convert all 3D geometry and color material information where possible.
The X3D file format was introduced in 2002 as a successor to the 3D VRML (WRL) file format. X3D files contain 3D mesh and model information defined using vertices, faces, normals and material data making it broadly as capable as the older VRML format.
X3D files are structured Xml text based files allowing full 3D scenes containing models comprised of 3D mesh data and other simple shapes. There are browser extensions that allow X3D files to be directly embedded within Html to allow rendering directly to a web page however the format has not seen widespread adoption.
X3D files support material and color information. If your uploaded model contains color information our tool will attempt to save this in the X3D file at the end of the conversion process. Texture information is not supported at this time.
