Create vector files with our easy to use and free tool. Our tool lets you upload a HEIC (High Efficiency Image File Format) file and from this, create a vector-based DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) file that you can then download and edit/use within vector file editors or use for high definition printing applications. If you have ultiple HEIC files to convert then our tool can also batch convert HEIC files too. Currently our tool supports up to 25 conversions at a time.
Options are available to specify/remove a background color if the source HEIC image does not contain a transparent background. Our tool can attempt to determine the background color automatically or you can manually specify the background color to remove.
Here are 3 simple steps to create an DXF file from a HEIC file.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your HEIC file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the HEIC to DXF conversion has completed, you can download your DXF file straight away.
We aim to process all HEIC to DXF conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.
We aim to create the most accurate conversions with our tools. Our tools are under constant development with new features and improvements being added every week.
Yes, of course! We do not store the HEIC file you submit to us. The resulting DXF file, once created is deleted 15 minutes after upload and the download link will expire after this time.
Yes! Our HEIC to DXF tool will run on any system with a modern web browser. No specialist software is needed to run any of our conversion tools.
Yes. Although you can use an Ad Blocker, if you like our HEIC conversion tool please consider white-listing our site. When an Ad Blocker is enabled there are some conversion limits on some of our tools and processing/conversion times will be longer.
The HEIC is a modern image format with the final specification completed in 2015. The format is a container format which whilst mostly used for storing image data the format can actually support video, audio and text data streams.
HEIC files are binary in nature and offer an alternative to existing digital photo formats such as JPEG featuring better compression whilst retaining comparable image quality. In some cases the file size can be 50% that of the equivalent JPG file.

The DXF file format was first introduced in 1982 as part of Autodesk's AutoCAD software. DXF files were intended at the time to allow data interchange between AutoCAD and other CAD related applications. The format has evolved over the years with the most recent version coming in 2007.
DXF files can contain either text or binary content describing Blocks, Entities, Objects and other information using a "Tagging" system. The DXF format is still popular today and can be opened with most popular CAD applications.
