Our tool lets you upload a HEIC (High Efficiency Image File Format) file and, from this, create a new image saved in the QOI (Quite OK Image Format) format that you can then download and edit within image file editors or use for high-definition printing applications. Our conversion tool can also batch convert multiple HEIC image files; up to 25 files at a time can be converted.
Along with converting HEIC image files to QOI, our tool allows you to also adjust the image with some simple effects, such as applying a grayscale filter to the image. These additional options are available within the Options tab. Along with grayscale, you can also mirror or flip the image if needed. For single HEIC file uploads, you will also see options to resize and rotate your image.
This option can be used to rotate the image in 90° increments.
When selected, this option will flip the image vertically.
When selected, this option will mirror the image horizontally.
When checked, this will apply a grayscale filter to the image, turning any color image into a grayscale image.
When checked, this will apply a negative filter to the image, inverting all the colors within the image.

The HEIC is a modern image format, with the final specification completed in 2015. The format is a container format, which, while mostly used for storing image data, can actually support video, audio, and text data streams.
HEIC files are binary in nature and offer an alternative to existing digital photo formats such as JPEG features better compression while retaining comparable image quality. In some cases, the file size can be 50% that of the equivalent JPG file.

The QOI file format is a modern image format capable of storing full color (32-bit) images in a compact format, with file sizes of QOI files similar to those of a PNG file.
QOI files are designed first and foremost with encoding and decoding speed in mind. It is many times faster to encode or decode an image into the QOI format than other formats, such as PNG.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your HEIC file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the HEIC to QOI conversion has completed, you can download your QOI file straight away.
We aim to process all HEIC to QOI conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.

Yes, of course! We do not store the HEIC file you submit to us. The resulting QOI file, once created is deleted 15 minutes after upload and the download link will expire after this time.

Yes. Although you can use an Ad Blocker, if you like our HEIC conversion tool please consider white-listing our site. When an Ad Blocker is enabled there are some conversion limits on some of our tools and processing/conversion times will be longer.
Yes. When you have converted your HEIC to QOI, there is a "Feedback" option that you can use to let us know of any issues you encountered when converting your file.
Yes! Our HEIC tool supports full batch conversions. You can upload up to 25 and HEIC files at a time. Our tool will convert them all as quickly as possible. Once completed, you can either download the QOI files individually or download them all in a single ZIP file.
