Use our free and fast online tool to convert your JFIF (Joint Photographic Experts Group) image or logo into 3D OBJ (Wavefront) mesh/model files suitable for printing with a 3D printer or for loading into your favourite 3D editing package.
Here are 3 simple steps to create an OBJ file from a JFIF file.
The JFIF image you upload can be any size, however our tool will resize it to a maximum of 600x600 pixels for normal users and for those who have paid for a premium subscription this is increased to a maximum of 1000x1000 pixels.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your JFIF file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the JFIF to OBJ conversion has completed, you can download your OBJ file straight away.
We aim to process all JFIF to OBJ conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.
We aim to create the most accurate conversions with our tools. Our tools are under constant development with new features and improvements being added every week.
Yes, of course! We do not store the JFIF file you submit to us. The resulting OBJ file, once created is deleted 1 hour after upload and the download link will expire after this time.
Yes! Our JFIF to OBJ tool will run on any system with a modern web browser. No specialist software is needed to run any of our conversion tools.
Yes. Although you can use an Ad Blocker, if you like our JFIF conversion tool please consider white-listing our site. When an Ad Blocker is enabled there are some conversion limits on some of our tools and processing/conversion times will be longer.
The JFIF file format is a popular image format most commonly used for the storage of digital photographs. The format implements a lossy-compression technology that allows for high levels of file compression with little perceptible loss of image quality making it an ideal format for photographs.
This format is one of the most used formats on the internet today with its small file sizes making it ideal for website images. Although there are newer image formats that may offer higher compression and quality the JFIF is still and idela format for digital photos.
The OBJ file format originally created by Wavefront Technologies and later adopted by many other 3D software vendors is a simple text-based file format for describing 3D model/geometry. This data can include Vertices, Faces, Normals, Texture Coordinates and references to external Texture files.
As the format is text-based it is relatively straight-forward to parse by 3D modelling applications. A downside of the text-based format is the files can be rather large compared to similar binary formats such as STL and compressed files such as 3MF.
Our tool does not currently support saving material or color information for OBJ files.
