Create vector image files with our easy-to-use and free tool. Our tool lets you upload a JFIF (Joint Photographic Experts Group) file and, from this, create a vector-based SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) file that you can then download and edit within vector file editors or use for high-definition printing applications. If you have multiple JFIF files to convert, then our tool can also batch convert JFIF files too. Currently, our tool supports up to 25 conversions at a time.
Options are available to specify or remove a background color if the source JFIF image does not contain a transparent background. Our tool can attempt to determine the background color automatically, or you can manually specify the background color to remove.
Here are three simple steps to create an SVG file from a JFIF file.
The Mode setting is used by the tool to inform it of the best way to vectorize the image by providing it with clues as to the type of image being submitted. The Auto mode attempts to find the most suitable settings for the image uploaded. There are, however, other options to help fine-tune this process, which we explain in more detail in the Tool Options section below.
With this setting, it is possible to reduce the inclusion of small holes within the final vector file caused by small, contrasting areas of the source JFIF file, which can be useful in situations where the source image has not been optimized for use with the tool.
Use this value to merge similar colors; this is useful if the image is of low quality. A higher number can help reduce the effects of anti-aliasing in the JFIF image.
When this option is enabled, the tool will automatically attempt to make the background of your image transparent.
Manually specify your image background color rather than our tool trying to automatically work it out.
If the tool is unable to identify the background and you know the background color, you can specify it here.
This value can be adjusted to control the background removal tolerance. The higher the value, the more background is removed.
A higher value is useful for creating smoother results if your image is anti-aliased.

The JFIF file format is a popular image format most commonly used for the storage of digital photographs. The format implements a lossy-compression technology that allows for high levels of file compression with little perceptible loss of image quality, making it an ideal format for photographs.
This format is one of the most used on the internet today, with its small file sizes making it ideal for website images. Although there are newer image formats that may offer higher compression and quality, the JFIF is still an ideal format for digital photos.

Introduced by the W3C organization in 2001, the SVG file format grew to become the standard web file format for vector-based 2D images and is supported by the majority of modern web browsers. SVG files are XML-based text files containing 2D vector elements such as paths, simple shapes, colors, and more.
The SVG format itself, while primarily a vector format, can include raster images as well as text. Due to their vector-based format, SVG files lend themselves very well to website company logos and icons. A compressed format of SVG also exists, which uses the extension SVGZ and employs the GZIP compression algorithm.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your JFIF file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the JFIF to SVG conversion has completed, you can download your SVG file straight away.
We aim to process all JFIF to SVG conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.
We aim to create the most accurate conversions with our tools. Our tools are under constant development with new features and improvements being added every week.
Yes, of course! We do not store the JFIF file you submit to us. The resulting SVG file, once created is deleted 15 minutes after upload and the download link will expire after this time.
No. All our conversion tools process your JFIF file on our dedicated conversion servers, meaning you can use our tools on low-spec computers, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices and receive your converted SVG file quickly.
Yes! Our JFIF to SVG tool will run on any system with a modern web browser. No specialist software is needed to run any of our conversion tools.
Yes. Although you can use an Ad Blocker, if you like our JFIF conversion tool please consider white-listing our site. When an Ad Blocker is enabled there are some conversion limits on some of our tools and processing/conversion times will be longer.
Yes. When you have converted your JFIF to SVG, there is a "Feedback" option that you can use to let us know of any issues you encountered when converting your file.
