WBMP (Wireless bitmap)

The WBMP file format is an image file format used to store black-and-white images. It was used in conjunction with early mobile phones as a way to minimize image sizes in order to conserve the limited bandwidth available at the time.

WBMP files store black-and-white image data in a simple binary format, making WBMP files ideal for these early wireless devices. WBMP has since been superseded by more modern formats, such as WEBP.
