Our tool lets you upload a DWG (Drawing) file and, from this, create a new image saved in the DPX (Digital Picture Exchange) format that you can then download and edit within image file editors or use for high-definition printing applications. Our conversion tool can also batch convert multiple DWG image files; up to 25 files at a time can be converted.
Along with converting DWG image files to DPX, our tool allows you to also adjust the image with some simple effects, such as applying a grayscale filter to the image. These additional options are available within the Options tab. Along with grayscale, you can also mirror or flip the image if needed. For single DWG file uploads, you will also see options to resize and rotate your image.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your DWG file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the DWG to DPX conversion has completed, you can download your DPX file straight away.

Yes, of course! We do not store the DWG file you submit to us. The resulting DPX file, once created is deleted 15 minutes after upload and the download link will expire after this time.

The DPX format, introduced in 1994, is an image format used mainly for visual effects and for storing digital intermediate work. The format is derived from the Kodak Cineon format, originally devised for use in digital cameras.
The format is most commonly used to store image color density data and is the chosen format for storing still frames for use in post-production work. The format is still used today, with the format receiving its latest update in 2018 and can be opened in some 3rd party image processing software.
