RGB (Raw red, green, and blue)

An RGB file is a raw image file format where the image data consists of a stream of raw pixel data with no header information. The format does not include a header section or any other date indicating the images dimensions etc.

Image data is stored as a sequence of uncompressed red, green, and blue values used to represent each pixel. Each color channel is 8 bits in size, creating a total of 24 bits across the RGB color range, or about 16.7 million colors.
