HDR (Radiance RGBE)

An HDR image (High Dynamic Range) is an image format created to capture a photographic scene in extremely high detail. The format stores multiple exposures at different settings to capture the maximum amount of detail.

While most image formats are limited to 8 bits of data per color channel, the HDR format supports 32 bits per channel, allowing a vast amount of color information to be preserved using this format.
