Create 3D animations with our easy to use and free tool. Our tool lets you upload a 3MF (3D Manufacturing Format) 3D model file and from this, create an animated WEBP (WebP) file that you can then download and share without the need for any complex 3D modelling software.
Here are 3 simple steps to create an WEBP file from a 3MF file.
Click the "Upload a File" button and select a 3MF to upload. The maximum file size is 100MB.
Set the dimensions and other options and click the "Convert to WEBP" button to convert your 3MF to WEBP.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your 3MF file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the 3MF to WEBP conversion has completed, you can download your WEBP file straight away.
We aim to process all 3MF to WEBP conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.
We aim to create the most accurate conversions with our tools. Our tools are under constant development with new features and improvements being added every week.
Yes, of course! We do not store the 3MF file you submit to us. The resulting WEBP file, once created is deleted 15 minutes after upload and the download link will expire after this time.
Yes! Our 3MF to WEBP tool will run on any system with a modern web browser. No specialist software is needed to run any of our conversion tools.
Yes. Although you can use an Ad Blocker, if you like our 3MF conversion tool please consider white-listing our site. When an Ad Blocker is enabled there are some conversion limits on some of our tools and processing/conversion times will be longer.
|Full Name||3D Manufacturing Format|
3MF files are a modern 3D file format designed specifically for use with 3D printable models (additive manufacturing). It was designed to be the successor to the popular legacy STL format (also a common format in 3D printing) to overcome the limitations of that format.
The format of 3MF files is XML based that are compressed with the standard Zip file compression resulting in small, easily transferable files. The format supports 3D meshes along with associated materials and textures all contained within the Zip file.
If your 3MF file contains textures, these will be ignored. If a material contains color information this will be translated where possible.
The WebP format created to be a successor to the JPEG image file format features enhanced lossy compression resulting in smaller files to a comparable JPEG file. The format also supports lossless compression and animations making it possible to be used as an alternative to Animated GIF's.
The format has its limitations such as a maximum width of 16384 pixels. Support for displaying WebP images is well supported within most modern web browsers, with older browsers such as Internet Explorer requiring additional plugins to display the image content.
