Here we detail how to convert your 123DX file to an X file using the export options found within the 123D Design application. Currently our converters cannot convert directly from 123DX to X, however using the built-in export functions of 123D Design we can achieve the conversion.
Firstly, you will need to load your 123DX file into 123D Design and select the export to STEP option. Once you have your file in the STEP format you can use our STEP to X converter to complete the conversion process.
Here are 2 simple steps to convert your 123DX to X.
We aim to process all 123DX to X conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.
We aim to create the most accurate conversions with our tools. Our tools are under constant development with new features and improvements being added every week.
Yes, of course! We do not store the 123DX file you submit to us. The resulting X file, once created is deleted 15 minutes after upload and the download link will expire after this time.

The X 3D file format extension was introduced by Microsoft with the launch of Version 2 of their 3D graphics API Direct X back in 2002. The format has evolved over the years however in 2014 the X file format was deprecated in favour of newer more capable formats such as FBX.
The format is a simple text based file capable of storing 3D mesh information such as vertices, faces, normals and material information. In addition to basic 3D information the format can also store animations with the X file format primarily used in the development of games.
X files support material and color information. If your uploaded model contains color information our tool will attempt to save this in the X file at the end of the conversion process. Texture information is not supported at this time.
