Convert your SVG file to BMP

Convert image files with our easy-to-use and free tool. Our tool lets you upload a SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) file and, from this, create a new image saved in the BMP (Bitmap Image File) format that you can then download and edit within image file editors or use for high-definition printing applications. Our conversion tool can also batch convert multiple SVG image files; up to 25 files at a time can be converted.

Description

Introduced by the W3C organization in 2001, the SVG file format grew to become the standard web file format for vector-based 2D images and is supported by the majority of modern web browsers. SVG files are XML-based text files containing 2D vector elements such as paths, simple shapes, colors, and more.

The SVG format itself, while primarily a vector format, can include raster images as well as text. Due to their vector-based format, SVG files lend themselves very well to website company logos and icons. A compressed format of SVG also exists, which uses the extension SVGZ and employs the GZIP compression algorithm.

Description

The BMP file format is a two-dimensional image file format popular on Microsoft Windows operating systems. Data is stored in the BMP file in a raster format, with pixels being represented using various color depths ranging from monochrome 1-bit per pixel (bpp) to full color 24-bits per pixel.

The format can also contain an image alpha channel, which is typically 8 bits per pixel in size and is used to describe image transparency. BMP files can also optionally be compressed using a lossless compression algorithm, meaning smaller files with no loss of image quality.
