KTX2 (Khronos Texture)

A KTX2 file is an image file format created by the Khronos Group as a means to store detailed texture images in a highly compact format. The format can store single textures, mipmap textures, cubemap textures, and more.

The image information within the KTX2 file is stored in a compressed and lossless format, enabling large textures to be saved with a minimal file size compared to other image formats such as PNG. The KTX2 format is the successor to the original KTX format.
