MD2 (Quake II Model)

An MD2 file, which is the native 3D model format used by the Quake II 3D rendering engine, was developed to enable convenient storage of 3D animated game characters.

MD2 files contain 3D geometric data representing the game character, including vertices, faces, and material information, along with animation keyframes necessary for in-game animations and poses.
