The AC file format is the native format used by the 3D graphics application AC32. The AC32 program has been around since 1994 and started out life on the 16-bit Amiga home computer. Since that time, it has been ported to other major platforms, including Linux, Windows, and Mac OS.
An AC file uses a text based format to store the individual surface data that makes up the 3D model. Surfaces can be composed of polygons, lines, and other basic visual elements. The format is somewhat of a specialized format used mainly in simulations and video games.
