Create vector image files with our easy-to-use and free tool. Our tool lets you upload a JFI (Joint Photographic Experts Group) file and, from this, create a vector-based DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) file that you can then download and edit within vector file editors or use for high-definition printing applications. If you have multiple JFI files to convert, then our tool can also batch convert JFI files too. Currently, our tool supports up to 25 conversions at a time.
Options are available to specify or remove a background color if the source JFI image does not contain a transparent background. Our tool can attempt to determine the background color automatically, or you can manually specify the background color to remove.
Here are three simple steps to create an DXF file from a JFI file.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your JFI file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the JFI to DXF conversion has completed, you can download your DXF file straight away.
We aim to process all JFI to DXF conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.
We aim to create the most accurate conversions with our tools. Our tools are under constant development with new features and improvements being added every week.
Yes, of course! We do not store the JFI file you submit to us. The resulting DXF file, once created is deleted 15 minutes after upload and the download link will expire after this time.
Yes! Our JFI to DXF tool will run on any system with a modern web browser. No specialist software is needed to run any of our conversion tools.
Yes. Although you can use an Ad Blocker, if you like our JFI conversion tool please consider white-listing our site. When an Ad Blocker is enabled there are some conversion limits on some of our tools and processing/conversion times will be longer.

The JFI file format is a popular image format most commonly used for the storage of digital photographs. The format implements a lossy-compression technology that allows for high levels of file compression with little perceptible loss of image quality, making it an ideal format for photographs.
This format is one of the most used on the internet today, with its small file sizes making it ideal for website images. Although there are newer image formats that may offer higher compression and quality, the JFI is still an ideal format for digital photos.

The DXF file format was first introduced in 1982 as part of Autodesk's AutoCAD software. DXF files were intended at the time to allow data interchange between AutoCAD and other CAD-related applications. The format has evolved over the years, with the most recent version coming in 2007.
DXF files can contain either text or binary content describing blocks, entities, objects, and other information using a "tagging" system. The DXF format is still popular today and can be opened with most popular CAD applications.
