Use our free and fast online tool to convert your WEBP (WebP) image or logo into 3D X3D (Extensible 3D Graphics) mesh/model files suitable for printing with a 3D printer or for loading into your favourite 3D editing package.
Here are 3 simple steps to create an X3D file from a WEBP file.
The WEBP image you upload can be any size, however our tool will resize it to a maximum of 600x600 pixels for normal users and for those who have paid for a premium subscription this is increased to a maximum of 1000x1000 pixels.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your WEBP file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the WEBP to X3D conversion has completed, you can download your X3D file straight away.
We aim to process all WEBP to X3D conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.
We aim to create the most accurate conversions with our tools. Our tools are under constant development with new features and improvements being added every week.
Yes, of course! We do not store the WEBP file you submit to us. The resulting X3D file, once created is deleted 15 minutes after upload and the download link will expire after this time.
Yes! Our WEBP to X3D tool will run on any system with a modern web browser. No specialist software is needed to run any of our conversion tools.
Yes. Although you can use an Ad Blocker, if you like our WEBP conversion tool please consider white-listing our site. When an Ad Blocker is enabled there are some conversion limits on some of our tools and processing/conversion times will be longer.
The WebP format created to be a successor to the JPEG image file format features enhanced lossy compression resulting in smaller files to a comparable JPEG file. The format also supports lossless compression and animations making it possible to be used as an alternative to Animated GIF's.
The format has its limitations such as a maximum width of 16384 pixels. Support for displaying WebP images is well supported within most modern web browsers, with older browsers such as Internet Explorer requiring additional plugins to display the image content.
The X3D file format was introduced in 2002 as a successor to the 3D VRML (WRL) file format. X3D files contain 3D mesh and model information defined using vertices, faces, normals and material data making it broadly as capable as the older VRML format.
X3D files are structured Xml text based files allowing full 3D scenes containing models comprised of 3D mesh data and other simple shapes. There are browser extensions that allow X3D files to be directly embedded within Html to allow rendering directly to a web page however the format has not seen widespread adoption.
X3D files support material and color information. If your uploaded model contains color information our tool will attempt to save this in the X3D file at the end of the conversion process. Texture information is not supported at this time.
