Use our free and fast online tool to convert your ICO (Icon) image or logo into 3D GLB (Graphics Language Transmission Format) mesh/model files suitable for printing with a 3D printer or for loading into your favourite 3D editing package.
Here are 3 simple steps to create an GLB file from a ICO file.
Click the "Upload a File" button and select a ICO to upload. The maximum file size is 100MB.
Set the dimensions and other options and click the "Convert to GLB" button to convert your ICO to GLB.
The ICO image you upload can be any size, however our tool will resize it to a maximum of 600x600 pixels for normal users and for premium subscription holders this is increased to a maximum of 1000x1000 pixels.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your ICO file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the ICO to GLB conversion has completed, you can download your GLB file straight away.
We aim to process all ICO to GLB conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.
We aim to create the most accurate conversions with our tools. Our tools are under constant development with new features and improvements being added every week.
Yes, of course! We do not store the ICO file you submit to us. The resulting GLB file, once created is deleted 15 minutes after upload and the download link will expire after this time.
Yes! Our ICO to GLB tool will run on any system with a modern web browser. No specialist software is needed to run any of our conversion tools.
Yes. Although you can use an Ad Blocker, if you like our ICO conversion tool please consider white-listing our site. When an Ad Blocker is enabled there are some conversion limits on some of our tools and processing/conversion times will be longer.
The ICO file is an image format which started life on Microsoft Windows 1.0 and was used exclusively for storing image icons used by the operating system. Back then ICO files were limited in size to 32x32 pixels with only 2 colors. With subsequent versions of Windows the format has been amended and upgraded to support larger images with more colors.
Although the initial ICO format was not compressed due to their already small sizes (and limited computing power to decompress them in real-time), as the size of image icons has increased over the years Microsoft recommends that for larger icon files PNG compression be used for storing the raster data.
The GLB file format which can also have the GLTF file extension depending on whether the content is binary or text/Json is a 3D file format used to describe 3D worlds and as such contains geometric data such as vertices, faces, normals, animations and other 3D scene related data.
The format, described by its creators as the "JPEG of 3D", has gained in popularity and is supported by a wide range of 3D modelling applications such as Blender and MeshLab. The GLB format is an open standard which is maintained by the Khronos Group.
