Use our free and fast online tool to convert your HEIF (High Efficiency Image File Format) image or logo into 3D DAE (COLLADA - Collaborative Design Activity) mesh/model files suitable for printing with a 3D printer or for loading into your favourite 3D editing package.
Here are 3 simple steps to create an DAE file from a HEIF file.
The HEIF image you upload can be any size, however our tool will resize it to a maximum of 600x600 pixels for normal users and for premium subscription holders this is increased to a maximum of 1000x1000 pixels.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your HEIF file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the HEIF to DAE conversion has completed, you can download your DAE file straight away.
We aim to process all HEIF to DAE conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.
We aim to create the most accurate conversions with our tools. Our tools are under constant development with new features and improvements being added every week.
Yes, of course! We do not store the HEIF file you submit to us. The resulting DAE file, once created is deleted 15 minutes after upload and the download link will expire after this time.
Yes! Our HEIF to DAE tool will run on any system with a modern web browser. No specialist software is needed to run any of our conversion tools.
Yes. Although you can use an Ad Blocker, if you like our HEIF conversion tool please consider white-listing our site. When an Ad Blocker is enabled there are some conversion limits on some of our tools and processing/conversion times will be longer.

The HEIF is a modern image format with the final specification completed in 2015. The format is a container format which whilst mostly used for storing image data the format can actually support video, audio and text data streams.
HEIF files are binary in nature and offer an alternative to existing digital photo formats such as JPEG featuring better compression whilst retaining comparable image quality. In some cases the file size can be 50% that of the equivalent JPG file.
The DAE format (also known as COLLADA) is a 3D file format used to describe 3D models, meshes and 3D worlds using a simple text based structure. The format was introduced in 2004 by Sony Computer Entertainment and is currently managed by the Khronos Group.
DAE files are a text/Xml based file format containing 3D geometric information used to describe 3D objects and meshes such as vertices, faces, animations, materials, camera/lighting elements and other related metadata. The format has widespread usage and support with applications such as Blender and MeshLab being able to read and write to the format.
DAE files support material and color information. If your uploaded model contains color information our tool will attempt to save this in the DAE file at the end of the conversion process. Texture information is not supported at this time.
