Convert image files with our easy to use and free tool. Our tool lets you upload a DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) file and from this, create a new image saved in the PSB (Adobe Photoshop) format that you can then download and edit/use within image file editors or use for high definition printing applications.
Here are 2 simple steps to convert your DXF to PSB.
First click the "Upload..." button, select your DXF file to upload. Select any configuration options. When the DXF to PSB conversion has completed, you can download your PSB file straight away.
We aim to process all DXF to PSB conversions as quickly as possible, this usually takes around 5 seconds but can be more for larger more complex files so please be patient.
We aim to create the most accurate conversions with our tools. Our tools are under constant development with new features and improvements being added every week.
Yes, of course! We do not store the DXF file you submit to us. The resulting PSB file, once created is deleted 15 minutes after upload and the download link will expire after this time.
Yes! Our DXF to PSB tool will run on any system with a modern web browser. No specialist software is needed to run any of our conversion tools.
Yes. Although you can use an Ad Blocker, if you like our DXF conversion tool please consider white-listing our site. When an Ad Blocker is enabled there are some conversion limits on some of our tools and processing/conversion times will be longer.
|Full Name||Drawing Exchange Format|
The DXF file format was first introduced in 1982 as part of Autodesk's AutoCAD software. DXF files were intended at the time to allow data interchange between AutoCAD and other CAD related applications. The format has evolved over the years with the most recent version coming in 2007.
DXF files can contain either text or binary content describing Blocks, Entities, Objects and other information using a "Tagging" system. The DXF format is still popular today and can be opened with most popular CAD applications.
When imported, DXF files will be converted to 3D geometry comprising vertices and faces using an Extrude method, the extrusion value can be set before the conversion starts. If the DXF file contains color information this will be included where possible.
|Full Name||Adobe Photoshop|
The PSB file format is the native raster image format used by Adobe's Photoshop image application. The format stores raster image data and is the most popular image format for computer graphics around today. Originally available on Macintosh computers Photoshop was ported to Windows in 1993.
The format has evolved over the years and compared to similar formats stores not just raster image data but additional information such as layers, masks, alpha channels, clipping paths and more. PSB files have a limit of 30,000 pixels in height and width and an overall file size limit of 2GB.
